She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.

An undercover sting by Channel 4 News has revealed that executives from Cambridge Analytica boasted that they could entrap politicians with Ukrainian sex workers, offer bribes to public officials, and use former spies to dig dirt on political opponents.

The report reveals CEO Alexander Nix and other Cambridge Analytica executives admitting to using a range of underhanded tactics in order to sway the outcome of more than 200 elections around the globe, secretly campaigning through a web of shadowy front companies and sub-contractors.

https://news.vice.com/en_us/article/bjp ... -elections

This is a company that secretly campaigns for politicians, using various underhanded tactics, to influence the outcome of elections. One of the main thing they do is to use social media to gather data on the voting public, and then use that data to influence these voters. It just so happens that one of the most effective way to do this is when the social media users already belong to a certain hate-group movement. And the most effective hate-group (the most effective "cultural weapon") right now happens to be Islam. Which explains why Indonesia's (the largest Islamic population in a democractic country) previous election is so fucked up.

Is it not fair to say that Islam is a state-supported religion in Indonesia? What more need be said? If state support of Islam is not in the government constitution, then yes, you should probably mention that.

Yes and no.

Constitutionally, Indonesia is a secular democratic state.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancasila_(politics)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Indonesia

It has five principles in its constitution/amendment. The first amendment reads "Belief in the One and Only God" but that doesn't mean you have to have be religious or be a monotheist to be a citizen. It's like just because America has "One nation under God" or "In God We Trust" in its constitution, doesn't mean America is a Christian nation.

Indonesia officially recognise six religions: Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucionism. A citizen has to state he belongs to one of those six in his ID card. There have been protests from the indigenous tribes living in rural areas who still have paganistic ancestral beliefs and are "forced" to list one out of six officially recognised religion in his ID card.

But Islam being the majority religion is the only one that is state-sponsored. The ministry of religion deals with Islamic issues, all other five religion is mostly not its concern. The largest Muslim groups sorta kinda receive funds from the state, but you are not supposed to talk about it. It's like paying protection money to the mafia. If the government forgo payment, it risks getting toppled by these people. These groups has millions of followers and they could easily stage massive protests, causing people power revolution or worse. Theoretically, they could issue a fatwa and declare the president himself to be dajjal (In Islamic mythology, this means satan / anti-christ incarnate ie. not real human, just satan disguised as human). So the leader(s) of this group has/have the president by the balls.

That's rather silly.

That's just how it is.

Why is that any more confusing to you than the state' has "Belief in the One and Only God" as its foundational principle while it also recognises religions such as Hinduism (polytheism), Confucianism (ancestral worship) and Buddhism (quasi-atheism)?

I didn't say anything was confusing to me. I'm pointing out a simple but silly error. I don't know if the error is yours or someone else's, but it would make me question the ability of whoever it was to explain even minimally complicated topics.

Directly from that wiki link -

The government recognises only six official religions (Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Confucianism).[4][5][6]

Did you not check before linking? Unless you've just decided to find as circuitous a way as possible to say that the error was yours.

That wiki article does not adress, much less refute the point being made by Fallible.
