Yep. They are only educated on how to manipulate the gullible - real life is not part of their job description.
I have NO BELIEF in the existence of a God or gods. I do not have to offer evidence nor do I have to determine absence of evidence because I do not ASSERT that a God does or does not or gods do or do not exist.

solazy wrote:I used to go to church at Christmas. One Xmas Day the priest informed the congregation that Jesus was born on the shortest day of the year. A symbol of the power of light over dark.
That is not so batty but it is inaccurate as the shortest day is either the 20th, 21st or 22nd. And then only in the Northern Hemisphere. They should celebrate Xmas day 6 months later in Australia, and John the Baptist's birthday in December.
The problem is that you cannot rely on anything you are told by the priest. Not even that.

But it WAS the shortest day on Earth, the entire Earth. When Jesus was born, the world was still flat!

Pastor dies after fasting for 30 days, he wanted to break the record of Jesus

Alfred Ndlovu, a pastor from South Africa has died of malnutrition after going without food for 30 days when he tried to emulate Jesus Christ and fast for 40 days and 40 nights.

He was known by his family and community at large as a very spiritual person whose faith could move mountains and his death has puzzled those close to him and church members.
My emphasis.
Puzzled? That when you don't eat, you die?

Attempting to equal or break Jesus Christ record of fasting for 40 days...

I see. So he was hoping to be better than Jesus? And if he succeeded would his followers cease to be Christians and become Alfred Ndlovuians

Hmmm!

Ah, but the dying was all part of the plan, so that he could come back to life twice. And after that, he could feed 8,000, break the world record for distance traveled walking on water, and turn water into really expensive wine.
Power doesn't corrupt, it reveals. Only when someone is free from constraints and consequences do they show their true character.

It seems the national flag-carrier isn’t taking anything for granted when it comes to its ATR fleet as some PIA staff members decided to slaughter a black goat at Islamabad airport’s tarmac as ATR operations resumed.

The human eye (or any other one for that matter) was not purely accidental, as if it was just some random mutation. Such biological structures only evolve by natural selection (NS) over a long period, and NS is, as Dawkins once said, "anything but random". Rather, it tends towards improved fitness.

Thank you Captain Obvious... I think the word is already out on that score. No one here is making the argument the human eye happened by accident. This is a thread about the battiest things believers say, after all. :)

I think this, a quote from this, deserves a mention here:

. . . Antimatter is the opposite of matter, it isn’t physical, it’s spiritual, and it’s all around us. It’s also quite elusive and chaotic. As the machines are able to trap and contain chaotic antimatter, they are able to study it, bringing them one step closer to manifesting it physically. . . .

Antimatter would be a demonically charged particle retrieved from the pit, bringing with it chaos and destruction. CERN has coded it in such a way to make it sound positive, when in fact, supersymmetry is unobtainable. Humans are not gods. Thus we could never produce heaven on earth. CERN is building the kingdom of the antichrist, hell on earth. . . .

Get ready for a chaotic 2017 as they use what they found to manipulate our world.
