Need a file manager? File Manager. Need a torrent downloader? TTorrent. Need a media player that can play mkv files? MX Video Player. Need a NES emulator? John NES. Don't like the default browser? Boat Browser Mini.

Understatement!
Galaxy S2 is more durable (Gorilla glass, for example), has WAY more customization options, better hardware specs, better overall screen (true blacks, saturated colours, not that kind of washed out backlit screen the iPhone has) etc etc.

Lizard_King wrote:Just bought my first smartphone ever two days ago. Went with the Galaxy S2 for a few reasons. It did get slightly better test results than the iPhone, it was significantly cheaper (440 Euro compared to the 700 bucks for the iPhone 4S), and I don't own anything else produced by apple. Thus I would have to use iTunes, and that iCloud system they have in order to get data on the phone, because it doesn't have an USB port (iirc), and I didn't feel like doing all that.
So far I'm very happy with my little Android, but as I said, it's only been two days...

Lizard_King wrote:Really? The iPhone has a usb-port? Since when? I alawys thought it didn't,and as far as I remember, the one my friend owns does not. But I might be mistaken.
And I'm enjoying my android so far, thanks for asking.

Actually, the iPhone does have Gorilla glass.
Due to customer agreements, we cannot identify all devices that feature Gorilla Glass. Your favorite device may include Gorilla Glass, even if you don't see it listed. Ask your manufacturer or retailer to learn more.

What makes you think so? If that were the case why does the iPhone glass behave very different from that of a Galaxy S2?
Also, you would think Corning has Apple listed as their product customers on their website. I could imagine Apple using some sort of Gorilla glass variant, albeit a shittier version
ETA: Just found this on Corning's site:Due to customer agreements, we cannot identify all devices that feature Gorilla Glass. Your favorite device may include Gorilla Glass, even if you don't see it listed. Ask your manufacturer or retailer to learn more.
But still, the iPhone glass scratches and breaks EASILY, not so with any newer Samsung touchscreen phone, confirmed to use Gorilla Glass

orpheus wrote:Have you compared them though? I ask because I don't recall if you have an iPhone as well as a Samsung or not.
orpheus wrote:I can only speak for my own experience of the iPhone: the screen has never scratched nor broken - and I have not treated it too gently. I have no screen protector, and it regularly comes into contact with metal. (e.g., I'll put the phone in my pocket, and only hours later remember that I've got my keys in there too.) And I'm clumsy enough to have dropped it numerous times. The glass on my various iPods and my old iPod Touch behaved as I would expect ordinary glass would: they got significantly scratched from much less abuse. So clearly the glass on the more recent iPhone is different from these. If it's not Gorilla Glass, it's certainly something like it.

I don't own an iPhone myself but I've had the chance to compare them various times. I think the iPhone is a decent phone, only think the Galaxy S2 is superior in many ways.orpheus wrote:I can only speak for my own experience of the iPhone: the screen has never scratched nor broken - and I have not treated it too gently. Did you accidentally drop it? After seeing various drop tests online I wouldn't try itI would think that if you take care of either smartphone they'll last a long time and make the owners happy. Galaxy VS iPhone though? The former, clearly
