Sure  ....it's people voting with their dollars that made them the most valuable company in the world.
You really should refrain from commenting on something you know fuck all about.

Watch the design film
Maybe you will get a hint of the effort and technology in Apple products.

No they don't always get it correct ( Apple Maps  ) or do the best thing for consumers but in a great number of cases they do.....supporting long warranties on products with video card failures ....4 years after end of production.
They didn't get there through gov subsidies ....they got there via users voting with their purchasing dollars...

but you can always go with the wannabes like Samsung. :coffee:

How many class actions were required for ".....supporting long warranties on products with video card failures ...." again? I forget. Anyways, sticking a bit of rubber on a chip so it gets pushed onto the board harder is not a repair in my books.

Now getting keyboard class actions. A bit of rubber won't "fix" them.

We're expecting a recall for the 2016 keyboard issue...
Apple tasks the company designing the failed chipset when it comes to those and it voluntarily extended those repairs for another year. No client I'm aware of bailed on Apple ....they instead appreciated the extended repair period for the several 2011 models affected.

If you’re looking for the most reliable computer on store shelves, one brand is better than the others, according to a new study.

Apple has earned an A+ grade for reliability in the latest Rescuecom computer reliability report. According to computer repair company Rescuecom, Apple’s machines represent just 3.2% of all repairs it makes. That low number, coupled with the company’s millions of Macs sold per year, translates to low failure rates and the high reliability grade. Samsung and Lenovo landed in second and third place with grades of A- and B+, respectively.

I have super cool photographer’s cases for our iPhones 6. They (Saddleback leather) don’t make that case for the SE.

For some reason, Amazon had the proper Apple case for this phone in red for 13 bucks instead of the normal $39. Not as good as Saddleback, but it’ll do.

I guess no one likes the red ones.

No new hardware though! I was promise the latest iPad at the office if it was announced today. Now I’ll have to “settle” for the latest Pro. :(

Upshot is I’ll get it sooner than otherwise

Apple closing in on the trillion dollar mark.

Image

Apple is on the verge of becoming the first American company to be worth $1 trillion.
Apple is now worth about $945 billion. Shares are up more than 13% this year, far better than the overall market. For Apple to hit a $1 trillion market valuation, the stock would need to go up just another 6% to $202.30 a share.
Even though some think Apple (AAPL) needs a new product to keep sales and profit booming, Apple has inched closer to an $1 trillion thanks to solid sales of the iPhone 8 and X -- particularly in China and Japan -- and surging services revenue from the App Store.
Apple's sales increased 16% in the first three months of 2018 -- not bad for a company of its massive size.

The iPhone SE is a fine business phone, doing everything I need from it.

Apple sent me a return box to send my iPhone 6 away to have its battery replaced. I wonder if I’ll get my same instrument back.

Likely. SE most likely to be my next phone as well .....nursing my 5 along ...might get the battery swapped since Apple is doing good deals
Mine's a Frankenphone tho - shouldn't matter on a battery change.

I sent my iPhone 6 off to Apple on Monday to have that failing battery replaced. The FedEx van delivered it to me about an hour ago.

They must have been waiting for me to send something needing repair. Exceedingly prompt service. I have no idea how anyone makes money on that deal for twenty nine bucks. But, I have a new battery in my phone.

We'll do the same for The_Metatrix' iPhone 6 before the battery replacement offer expires at the end of this year.

Pro tip: Don't forget your iPhone backup password. Otherwise, that backup you did just before sending it off was a huge waste of time. I bashed my way through a few password iterations and found what I'd used to secure my iPhone backups.

I have not heard a word from Apple concerning my 6+. What is the process of getting this $29 battery replacement, and what does it take to qualify? Mine is definitely failing, but I would give 3 times full price for the battery if I could get my landscape keyboard back. Still not over that, and I still see it as theft of functionality. If I want to take my mac desktop back to an earlier OS that option is there, but for some reason Apple cannot allow a phone to do so.

Here you go, buddy.

https://support.apple.com/iphone/repair/battery-power

A paragraph into it, there’s a blue button you can click to start a battery replacement.

I am astonished by the speed, but I’m not very far from Cupertino, either.
