the Skype app remains an exclusive for Android phones on the Verizon network.

Hmm, not much use to anyone outside of America then.

Someone earlier on this thread got one and liked it.

I'm getting the HTC Evo and it will be activated this coming Wednesday. Can't wait. Yes, I know it has a shitty battery life but I don't use my cellphone as much as many people do. I think I'll get an extra battery though anyway.

Don't know how you carry your phone. If you use a purse you could buy a nice fat extended battery.

OK. Got my HTC Evo yesterday and so far I'm pretty happy with it. One question: my iPod Touch can easily convert to a French keyboard, so I was wondering if there's some fairly easy way to do the same with my Evo? I've searched a bit online but haven't found any useful info.

eta: Nevermind--I figured it out.
