You have a launch pad with all your software arranged like on an iPad so you can easily find programs without looking in a folder, the dock can be reduced to only the ones you use all the time, you can also add documents to the launch pad so easily found. It saves every so often so you don't have to remember to save, and you can recall previously saved versions. Some of your software will have to be updated, and I think it's more stable. There's mission control, click on that all the open software comes up on the screen you can choose what you want without having to minimize. A whole lot of stuff. Good fun.

really?? eurgh, that sounds rather like what ubuntu did with unity..... fucking shite. I like menus, they cut out the clutter....
ok, android has that system, but thats designed for touchscreen use where menus are awkward by comparison (even with a stylus)

Lots of stuff in Lion is "too cute" for the rest of us

Imagine a world where sixteen hour days and .70¢ hr is the prevailing wage. Now imagine the company you worked for earned $10B in profit in 2010 and by all accounts will make $30B in profit in 2011. Now finally put yourself in a work setting where the chairman referred to the employees as "animals" and managing them gave him "a headache". The aforementioned chairman also hired a zoo keeper to give a 'peptalk' to his senior managers.

Apple and Unbridled Capitalism
If you use Apple and have a conscience I think you need to do something to help the mess that has developed at Foxconn. My wife uses an Apple and I have a Toshiba laptop. Foxconn is not just Apples problem, but Apple has an image as a caring company. That image is a lie.Imagine a world where sixteen hour days and .70¢ hr is the prevailing wage.
