Headhunting in Europe

#1  Postby Daan » Mar 12, 2011 6:49 pm

When i was strolling on Wikipedia to look for something else, i came to this page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headhunting#Celts
I have never heard about the widespread practise of headhunting before christianity. Celts kept the heads of their enemies as a trophy and also some Germanics participated in the headhunting practise.

Ah. The good ol' days.

Why isn't there more films about Celts? :( Even those pesky Picts got a film :snooty:

There hardly are any films about prehistoric Europe. The last four centuries and late medieval is popular and that's it.

And the Roman era. Been done to death on TV recently. Kinda like WWII, sharks and UFOs. I think it's time for change.
I think the Táin Bó Cúailnge would be an awesome film.

I know it's myth and legend, but still, so was William Wallace.

There are different kind of headhunters. This song is about the version where people stay alive.
