Aren't they doing what all religions strive to do?

Granted, very few religions and very few adherents of any modern day religion take it to this violent level.

This is just shocking and what concerns me is that so little is being done domestically or internationally.

I did not express myself adequately; what I mean by 'internationally' is aid and help against Boko Haram from the international community.

All interest groups strive to do something, many even to impose on another. The difference, as you noted in OP, are methods.

Take them for a long drive to the "end of the earth" and keep going. They'll eventually admit that they're going around in circles.

Thee are plenty of Muslim flat-earthers on the web. Does anyone know whether IS officially considers the earth to be flat? Or, for that matter, meteors to be thrown by Allah at jinn? As for rain being sent by Allah, wasn't adherence to the doctrine that all things are directly caused by Allah one of the reasons for the decline in science in the Muslim world?
