Female Sex Slaves in Islam

#1  Postby Imza » Jun 11, 2011 4:01 pm

A Kuwaiti woman who once ran for parliament has called for sex slavery to be legalised - and suggested that non-Muslim prisoners from war-torn countries would make suitable concubines.
Salwa al Mutairi argued buying a sex-slave would protect decent, devout and 'virile' Kuwaiti men from adultery because buying an imported sex partner would be tantamount to marriage.
And she even had an idea of where to 'purchase' these sex-salves - browsing through female prisoners of war in other countries

Sad and disgusting, especially coming from a women.

I heard that there is estimated to be a 1-in-5 chance of psychopathy in politicians and leaders, could that explain such a strange lack of empathy? Or is that sociopathy?

Sometimes I think we should equip each human on the planet with weapons of mass destruction. Hell, we should plant nukes all over the world and let everyone have a detonating switch. Will be one funny way to ensure equality.

The Old Testament is positive about sex slaves, so probably the Muhammed copied it in the Quran, but i didn't read that one. When i read the Bible, my mouth dropped open and didn't close for a while after reading some text.

Mo justified taking sex slaves but only on the basis that they were non-muslim - if they were muslim then the man had to marry them, although they got 4 wives so they could have a bit of choice.

This is why there was an expansion in the non-Arab slaves the Arabs started taking postMo.

Remind me - where do the concubines fit in? Is it just an apologetic name for slaves?

She also said—and rather seriously too in her online video broadcast which was reported by Kuwait Times on Sunday—that she’d been informed that “affluent Muslim men who fear being seduced or tempted into immoral behavior by the beauty of their female servants, or even of those servants ‘casting spells’ on them, would be better to purchase women from an ‘enslaved maid’ agency for sexual purposes.

I believe in some cases a concubine is trained from quite early childhood in how to 'please a man', this doesn't just cover sexually, but anything you could think of to serve a man, her whole thinking should be to make his life perfect even at the expense of her own, but sex would be the most important aspect. So yes, well trained, brainwashed sex slaves would just about cover it.

They wouldn't normally come well-trained from the slave market, though. I can't help thinking that there's some other caste of Muslim women involved. I tried to look it up, but ended with my head reeling from the convoluted language and arguments on the Muslim sites. There do seem to be a lot of Muslim blokes out there, though, asking about concubines. Wishfully?

From that news article:

'Wonder how Salwa al Mutairi would’ve felt if during the occupation (of Kuwait) by Iraqi forces, she was sold as ‘war booty’ as she advocates for Chechen women,' tweeted Mona Eltahawy.

I thought that sex-slaves in Islam were called "wives"...

Yes, you'd wonder why they bother when they can have a few wives who are conditioned from birth to please their men :yuk:
