Well, that just means they don't think it will make them enough money to offset possible hassle. Having abandoned a half-written book ten years ago, if I'd finished it but had no success with publishers I'd be thinking of electronic publishing by now. Never mind the peanuts, feel the satisfaction!
I'm sure regulars here would treat an electronic review copy in confidence.
Anyway, good luck if you decide to go ahead.

Just heard Sky News talking about it, so I posted the link, I'm not responsible. Don't shoot the messenger.

It's co-run by John Lloyd (producer of QI) and there is a fascinating podcast on little atoms (I put the link up earlier in the thread) that suggests it might be a good way for people to drum up support for quirky projects that the old-school publishing houses are too timid to tackle.

If that's the rule...are you the exception to it?

Definitely.

I'm very photogenic. In fact, I've done some modelling. Usually in "before" pictures in plastic surgery journals, but hey, it's a living.

I'm dealing with a publisher at the moment in RL and I'm potentially doing him a rather large favour. Have you considered the possibility of getting this published in the UK, Durro? I could show him your work, if you'd like?

Ray, do you think wife beating is objectively wrong (ie under any circumstance)?
If you do, how do you reconcile your view with what Quran and ahadith say?

Wife beating. It happens everywhere, even in secular nations.

In America and Europe, domestic abuse and voilence against women is reported to be greater than in any muslim country.

.

What on earth are you blathering about? I asked about Quran and hadiths, did I say domestic violence doesn't occur in the west? And yes, the key word being "REPORTED", do they even keep stats in islamic countries?

Atheists, even cops are known to beat their wives and girlfrinds.

More gross generalization, good that the mods have banned you after all.
