Unfortunately that won't work, Islam here is not like Christianity in Europe, or even Christianity in US, 80% of Indonesian are Muslims, but 99% of Indonesians are creationists, see some pattern here? The fact that politicians boast about their religiousness in each and every campaign should have been a pretty clear sign, and yes, I live in the closet. It is not realistic to hope that they will leave Islam, I only hope that they will just put it under the bed, with their shajadah.

Meanwhile Indonesian film and complete orgy of senseless violence, The Raid, becomes their biggest home commercial success and enjoys popularity worldwide without so much as a Allah Akbar from the Islamic fundamentalists.

Glad to see it's the same with Islam as it is with Christianity: entertainment with violence is totally fine, but if it's got sex in it then I'm outraged!

I had a quick look to see where sexy dancing ranks amongst the deadly sins of Islam and, perhaps surprisingly, it's not there:
