That seems to be a deficit of the English language. I would like there to be some more terms. "Horndog" seems a bit silly. "Predator" has connotations which are not accurate. I guess for now "Man-whore" will have to do.

Anyway, one of my girlfriends proudly self-identifies as a slut. If the term is good enough for her, it's quite good enough for me.

The idea that the word "slut" is insulting is based on the idea there is something bad about a woman's being sexually libertine. I don't have that basic idea; I think it's great. The Tory Muslim obviously has that idea. Maybe you have that idea, too, which you're entitled to do. However, projecting it on me is stupid.

99.9% of the time the term slut is used as a derogatory term, as you well know. Rather than look for a term to use for men who like a lot of sex with different partners, why not try not labeling a person based on how many partners and how often they have sex.

Well, first of all, I didn't use the term. I just said that I'd like to be there according to another guy's description.

However, how many partners and how often they have sex isn't the point. The point of being a real slut is skipping many of the canonical steps in sexual interaction. I find that the skipped steps only exist to maintain pretense and the traditional object-to-subject relationship of woman to man. I don't like those things, so I find sluttishness a positive thing.

As the postmodernists might say, definitions are in the eye of the beholder. The would-be candidate thought local women unsuitable to join his family. The local party hierarchy thought him unsuitable to represent their party. The local voters didn't have a chance to vote on him as a suitable councillor or not. Nobody can be sure, without interviewing him over a pint and a bag of pork scratchings, whether his view of the local women is due to his being a Muslim or because he fancies himself as a trumped-up nowt.

Or he can't get any of them to go out with him, or can't keep hold of one, which are the usual reasons stupid young men label women as sluts.
