Response: Allah is the one and only originator of all creation and has sent the Qur'an and prescribed Islam as a way of life. If this is what Christians claim, then yes.

How do you know this?
Note I am asking you what evidence you have, not that you read it in a book.

Hey, John, Great to see you in this thread.

Would you like to define what a Muslim is for us, please?

I'm not qualified to do that. I'm mostly just here for the educational value.

So with Christianity, there's a lot of different ideas of what it means to follow Christ. Is it the same with Islam, i.e. a lot of different ideas of what it means to be a Muslim?

I'm thinking an in depth knowledge of Islam would help - which I don't have. And probably never could have because I didn't grow up with it.

Oh, I don't know. Your definition of what it takes to be a Catholic didn't require any qualifications. Anybody could have come up with that. Mind you, nobody really agreed with you, though.

Response: I enjoy aspect of being a Muslim. Brother and sisterhood, charity, humility, compassion for others, etc.. All of which are best sustained following the teachings of Islam.

Could you share with us some of your favourite teachings of Islam? What is something that might inspire a non-Muslim to seek the path of Islam?

Well Catholicism has a clear cut entry and exit ramp. You're in or you're out and it's very easy to understand where you stand. It's not as wishy-washy as figuring out what it means to be a Christian, for example.

I already exposed your 'Challenge' for the nonsense that it is.
So I see no more reason to accept the assertions of the Qur'an, than I do the Torah, Vedas or the Scriptures of the Seven gods of the Andals and the first men.

Response: Islam is based on 5 pillars. Three of them, prayer, charity, and fasting, are essential in establishing peace and tranquility, along with humility and discipline and compassion. If implemented daily and as prescribed in Islam, it will inspire peace, compassion, humility, and discipline in the best way.
