Well, I might get away with this British based joke. Americans may not get it.

What does this country have in common with my wife's fanny?

Labour has ruined both of them.

I know analysing the accuracy of the contents of jokes makes me a wet blanket but does labour really have much of a negative impact on fannies? I don't imagine it does, particularly in comparison with other both parts.

In the US & Canada, fanny = butt

In the UK, Ireland, Australia and NZ, fanny = pink girlie bits. The vag sweetie.

It gives us no end of amusement when Nth Americans refer to their fanny packs or give their wife/girlfriend a playful slap on the fanny.

I just thought it might refer to women getting fat after having kids or something which almost made sense but didn't entirely.

Seems awfully silly to refer to the entirety of the female genitalia as singular. If fanny = girl parts, it's not a singular entity. If fanny = vagina then it doesn't refer to girl parts at all. It refers to A girl part - the fibromuscular tubular tract between the outside of the body and the uterus. "Vagina" does not mean "female ganitalia". It is but one small part of the puzzle.

I'm not American either.

Fanny is like pussy. It seems pretty straight forward to me.

And I knew you weren't American, I know you Canadians hate being called that ;)

Or ruby fruit jungle.

If fanny is equivalent to pussy or cooter it does NOT mean vagina.

I freaking HATE hearing female genitals referred at as the vagina! THAT'S NOT WHAT THEY ARE. My old-assed boyfriend learnt a couple weeks ago what "vulva" meant. At least he knew the vagina was just the tube though. All he knew were porn names for the rest. Poor guy.

So, either "fanny" refers to girly bits or is refers to the vagina. Vagina does not refer to female genitals. It just refers to the tube. "Fanny" can't mean both because they aren't the same thing!

Seriously, there's going to be a generation of REALLY confused girls thinking "But isn't that my vagina?"

Yes, this is one of my hang ups.

So wait! What's the thing as a whole called? Like I know all the parts, vulva etc... but I always thought the whole was called a vagina... What is it?

Apparently some Canadians have issues with fanny/pussy/pink bits, as they can't say c**t in Canada... Now that would clear things up if it were allowable.

Warning - explicit language in youtube clip. NSFW or children.
