Help with logarithms

#1  Postby inkaStepa » Sep 18, 2011 9:31 pm

I'm in Calculus 1 and I'm not comfortable with slope, logs, or even fractions to an extent but I'm trying to get there. Right now I'm stuck on a problem it's :

Solve each equation for x

e to the ax = Ce to the bx where a does not equal b.

I've been e-mailing my teacher but he hasn't gotten back to me all week.

a second problem is log base 7 times radical 7.

Any help would be great...I really need to hire a tutor I think

Please? I know that log base 7 to the radical 7 is log base 7 (7 to the 1/2) ....

eax=Ceab
ax=ln(C)+bx
x=ln(C)/(a-b)

log7(70.5)=0.5*log7(7)=0.5
