Grand. He just explained what was happening. He asked was I nervous and I told him I'm not remotely bothered. There were some students sitting in with him and he would ask them questions. They found it funny when I said I watced the operation on YouTube for some reason. They don't allow you keep stones any more. I asked them could I at least get the footage from the scope. Denied.
They'll be contacting me soon with a date.

 That's a bit tight about keeping the stones or getting footage though.

I know. 'But it's my body', I pouted. I would've put it up on YouTube and posted it here :awesome:

If you had videoed the pout you could have put that up too.

I was even going to put highly inappropriate music over the video for lulz. Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows for instance.

That would have been sure to freak a few people out.

It's a medicolegal thing, not giving patients evidence...errrr, footage of their operation. So it can't be used inappropriately (read : to sue the doctors) and so that awkward things that shouldn't, but invariably do, happen in operating theatres doesn't get recorded. The patient partially waking up because the anaesthetist is skyping someone on his laptop, music playing in the background, the surgeon swearing, the nurses chatting about what they did on the weekend...etc.
I'll start believing in Astrology when all Sagittarians get hit by a bus on the same day, as predicted.

Laughing about the size of your unit...
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

Depends on how hirsuit you are and/or what sort of sense of humour the nurse has.

Given the anatomical location of the gallbladder relative to your boy bits, it's highly unlikely.

Nipples to to symphasis pubis (pubic bone), or pretty much everything in this picture:

You can have any footage/still photos the physician takes during the operation. It's part of YOUR medical information, the doc may not give them to you, but you can get copies from the hospital later by filling out a form and getting copies.

The gallstones are part of you body and the Doc can't keep them from you after pathology is done with them. Ask the hospital for it's policy on getting body parts back after a procedure, they must have one. Ask the Doc again the morning of surgery for copies of the still photos. I don't know how it works in Erin, but in the USA that's how it works.

I participated in an amputation once and had to take the guys mummified toes and hand them to him in a bag because he demanded them. He told me he was going to make a necklace.
