16-Jun-13 - London meet-up

#1  Postby stijndeloose » Jun 15, 2013 6:14 pm

So I unexpectedly ended up in London... I'm only here for two days, and I'll be working most of the time, but if all goes well, I should be able to have a coupla pints tomorrow evening sometime after 18.00-19.00... Preferably somewhere near my hotel (i.e. near Paddington), seeing as I'm flying out at 6.30 am on Monday...

Anyone thirsty?

 Oh, give us plenty of notice, why don't you?

Now.. do I want to drive to London tomorrow to meet a spotty cat in a bar? :ask:

More importantly, does a spotty cat want some old fart waving at him from across a crowded bar? :nono:

(This ^^ is assuming I find out what said cat looks like beforehand, of course)

Well, it's not like I had plenty of notice myself... I was sent in to replace a colleague who was sent off to South-Africa...

You would fit well in SA, camouflage and all that, why didn't they send you?

You're a very inconvenient cat.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

What a busy cat you are!

And yes, I know you look like a spotty cat. Me, I have stripes.

Nora's in London, so's Genes.... can't think of - oh, wait, Blip was but I think she moved...

It's his idea, actually... he brought it up on Facebook when I signed in from London. Credit where credit is due. :)

will likely be dressed in all black, with a blazer - the ten storey bin liner is not making a journey this time round.

Ah, I see! For me, I think it's too far to go just for a couple of drinks at short notice, but I'd like to see photos of you two together. Nora and I were talking about meeting up again in London in the near future, and she said perhaps we could ask Genes to meet us when we do. I think she'll be off getting her tea right now, but she'll be back on and perhaps think about making it a threesome....

Long leather coat, I suspect.

She revelled in adventure and imagination.

Just got back from a three month stint working in London. A bit too far from sunny Sheffield to go for a beer, shame it wasn't earlier. Have a good time.
