Melbournes fine, really. Plus there's so much to do at the GAC and so many interesting people to talk to, where you are really isn't something you think about much.

And as a bachelor, you can expect to be fully blown more often.

Guvmint funds atheist talkfest

Could someone wake me at ticket time please? 2012's going to be a big year - GAC in April, total solar eclipse in Oz in Nov, and Aztec zombie apocalypse in December - and I need a little lie down to prepare. :)

don't know about 14,000km.. I pretty much just have to stroll up the road. :P

But I am soooo looking forward to this... and also should be a MUCH bigger noise in the local media. I say we try to organise a Friday night shindig and invite all the speakers. Large place. Live music, beer and Atheists...
... but, I could be wrong.

Friday night is going to be the opening night, isn't it? It was last time, IIRC.

I think you and me went and crashed the Fundy speech what I got thrown out of. Or was that Saturday night?

Oh, yeah, that was Saturday, I think. I spent Friday night worrying that I'd inadvertently lost an international visitor... who turned out to have been at the Friday opening thing all along.

Terrible situation, really. I lost a Celt, and spent the bulk of the night in a hotel room worrying, and drinking alone. Only to discover that the Celt was fine, and having a grand time, completely oblivious to my concerns.

Still, I did spend the time somewhat productively. I read the fucking Gideon's Bible, or parts thereof, and began crafting a response. I think it started something along the lines of, "For Christ's sake, please don't cut bits off your children."

Hmmm, that's the busiest period of the year at work. I should be fine if I put in for leave early enough.

How much does it cost?

Cool. I can manage that.

How long do I have to register?

Tickets are not yet on sale but they'll be going on sale in the next month or so.

Ok, that gives me a little time to decide.
