:( How about some place somewhere halfway between London and the Scottish borders? Bradford? :shifty:

Did you mean Nottingham?

I know we're international kiore, it'd be great if any of the non-UKers could make it to the UK but I totally appreciate that's not possible for alot of people. I know it'd be really difficult for me to travel outwith the UK, due to time, travel and cash. If others want to arrange things for their own countries thats great.

But I think it'd be great to try and have a main one in the UK, rather than seperate ones all over the place, I'd like the opportunity to meet as many of you as I can in one go, you come to ours

Hey, I've been thinking that it may be a better idea to set up a separate thread (with poll) about the meeting in the UK. After all, this thread is for meetings for everyone, not just the UK people (or people who can join them). What do you think?

Yes, that would be a good idea, I don't think I can add a poll though :dunno:

Open a thread in Tech and learn how to do it. When you create a thread look down below the submit button and you will see a tab 'Add Poll' click on it and follow the instructions. When you have done hit preview to see what's what and when you are satisfied you know what you are doing hit the back button on your browser a few times so you don't actually submit a thread. If you do submit the thread by accident just edit out the contents and replace with 'Please delete' and a mod will get rid of it for you.
What star sign are you? Please tick you star sign in a tiny bit of ongoing research. :)

Ummm for me maybe Paris?

I might make Paris, I'll probably be there in March anyway and I could come a few days earlier, but I don't think we have many members in France :ask:

or fucking anywhere but here.. have some leave due late February.. could be any where.. depends.

Anywhere? What about you all come to my corner of Europe

Ljubljana  (That's just a two hours' ride from Trieste btw, so it was a very good guess, except it's a different country.)

On a more serious note, maybe a regional meet-up in Vienna? Our very own blobfish can certainly recommend a nice place for sceptical rats to exchange some thoughts on life, universe and the beer everything.

Indeed, I could. :drunk:

The way I am restrained in time and financial matters at the moment doesn't really leave me with a wide radius for traveling... :(

 The joys of a student's life. How many people do we think could make it to Vienna?

I've been thinking about these money matters, many of our members are students or otherwise financially challenged, so it would be a great help if a local member could offer them a couch or some floor space for the night of the meeting (or more probably, the early morning ;)). Something like couchsurfing.

I'm blind even with glasses but.. how about those of us in North America? As long as it's somewhere in the midwest, I'm game, especially for Feb. My 22nd birthday is Feb 24th! I'd have to take a bus to where ever it is though. But I would love to meet as many of you as possible. :3

It's easy. State a place and time and people will come to you if they can. It's a bit like a crystal, once the seed is in place it just grows. It just needs somebody to stick a flag in the sand!

Someone else will have to suggest a place because I may not be able to guarantee a place, or even a time, as I'm a student after all.
