I woke up singing the chorus of this song in bed this morning for some reason. I'd never seen the video, or listened closely to the lyrics. It hasn't aged well. At all.  Still, this dude could really belt it out, as far as male singers go. Singing about infatuation for a 16 year old was extremely common, and had some degree of social acceptability back then, and presumably for all time before it. I'm thinking of Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen.

Imagine if Logans Run came true and people got old and died at 35 or something?

Good song, but the young man is from Chronno, why does he sing with a Jamaican accent?

50 years later, I've discovered Carole King. :awesome:

Call it corny, whatever. I enjoy heavier music too. If it sounds good, it's good. :dopey:

If it’s good it’s good, quite right. That’s why I’m (almost) unashamed about this. Ignore the golden paedophile at the start, he snuck in.

She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

I love Carole King. Tapestry, one of my favourite albums.

I'm reminded why I've never watched an entire episode. Fake reality tv.
