I was watching a programme recently about the hip hop choreographer Kate Prince, as I am a one for hip hop. Well, of course this was played. As soon as I heard the first ‘intergalactic planetary’, that was it. I was off on a Beastie Boys jaunt.

I saw a commercial for a "guitar rock" compilation back in the day. Ever since, I always think of that phrase when hearing a Boston song. They were pretty good.

I came to post this. Ozzy was the King of metal ballads. Bonus guitar solo.

Just discovered Superorganism... love their website design: Superorganism

In this set, I think "Something for your M.I.N.D." is my favorite (@ 13:45). It was their first single & was produced by online collaboration (they lived on 3 different continents as the band was coming together).

On their website, the 4 sprites in the top left correspond to scrolling speeds... Fun sound & motion effects as you point to different items. :awesome:

Regular mario, fireball mario, racoony mario, and flying racoony mario. :awesome: The most super organism known to have ever existed in the history of the world. If that's a blue whale. And the lead singer studied in Maine.

I wondered if the orange soda bottle in her lap counted as an instrument... when out came the bucket of ocean & the mason jar of bubbles. Such a silly question.

    :awesome:
Have you ever woke up from a day-dream
And realized that the world's gone crazy?
You people are all the same
Going blah blah blah, going bang bang bang
I'm a laid back girl, float in the sun
    Looking down at the world
Just sippin' - it's kinda my thing!

You do you, I'll do me
Chillin' at the bottom of the sea and i say...

I'm happy just being a prawn

Oh, have you ever seen the prawn cause a world war?
Have you ever kissed a prawn; got a cold sore?
Have you ever seen a prawn kick off?
Have you ever seen a prawn in a pair of handcuffs, oh
You people make the same mistakes
Over and over, it's really kinda dumb, but oh
Slow learning is kinda your thing

You do you, I'll do me
Chillin' at the bottom of the sea and I say...

I'm happy just being a prawn.

Hi 'Piper,

I apologize for the delayed response. I had an acquaintance back in the day that said that he saw Boston in concert. And he said that when they played this song, from 2:30 onward (at least in this video), they had the complimentary guitarists on opposite sides of the stage, and as they played, in turn, they were lit by a spotlight.

He said it was awesome, and I have no reason to doubt him although I cannot provide any reference.

The Hu is pretty cool. Love to see Mongolian stuff exported.
Heilung is even cooler, imo. More aggressive against the lazy tide of cultural sublimation & forgetting.
