One of the best Xmas songs

Sad. My favorite ELP song, it always moves me for some reason, it's beautiful and haunting, and really mostly a Lake performance

And a new find: "This is the first version ever recorded of Lucky Man. It was found by Steven Wilson during the remix of the first ELP album. Originaly Carl Palmer played drums on this track, but Wilson removed them so as to have only the guitar and vocals made by Lake. Enjoy!!!"

I saw them during the 1974 Welcome Back, My Friends, to the Show That Never Ends tour. They used a surround sound system, and a good time was had by all, I think. I do remember it was the first time that I heard Tiger in the Spotlight.

I saw them in the 90's when they opened for Tull. All I remember is a lot of keyboard. I never listened to their albums, though Lucky Man is a good song. It's the only one I can name, thanks to the thread.
