I called this a couple of weeks ago when I heard the above song. His latest album reminds me of Bowie's last. It was clearly a swan song.

Yes indeed Blackadder, very well put.
Back in 1969/70ish I bought Songs of Leonard Cohen and Songs From a Room, and spent many hours in my cold bedsit listening to them. I still have them boxed up somewhere in the loft. Just this last month I've listened to Dance Me to the End of Love, A Thousand Kisses Deep, Closing Time and I'm listening to Boogie Street as I write this.
A sad day indeed.

He apparently died on Monday, and it was not announced until three days later. So he mercifully never had to live under a Trump presidency.
