I have had this song stuck in my head all day.
Fear is a choice you embrace
Your only truth
Tribal poetry
Witchcraft filling your void
Lust for fantasy
Male necrocracy
Every child worthy of a better tale

willhud9 wrote:Elize Ryd is the female vocalist on that album. I love her! But I also bought that album back in May, and it kicks ass!

Edit to add: Also Rob Rock (Impellitteri), and Russell Allen (Symphony X) are the primary male singers, with Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica) on the song We Will Find a Way.

Thanks for the info

If you don't know them, look up stuff from Avantasia. Almost all of their albums are metal operas.

Symphonic metal anyone?

As Nietzsche wrote Without musicetal life would be a mistake :drunk:

I was reminded what a great band The Melvins were this weekend.....

Their website is worth a few minutes once you get past the loading screen: http://www.melvins.com/ :D

Came across this yesterday.

Christian's Against Slipknopt.

Pretty sure it's a Poe, but funny nonetheless.
We are alive, so the universe must be said to be alive. We are its consciousness as well as our own. We rise out of the cosmos and see its mesh of patterns, and it strikes us as beautiful. And that feeling is the most important thing in all the universe.

Oh look a new Kamelot music video. From my favourite song off of Silverthorn. It's awesome. Tommy sure can sing!

Of course taken from a phone doesn't produce the best quality videos, but my God this concert was just amazing!! Not only were we literally in the front (the journalists were in front of us) but the energy from Kamelot and the audience made this one of the best experiences in my life.

Some progish rock with decidedly metal overtones from our very own UndeadDinosaur ...

This song is amazing.

In part because Marco Hietala provides vocals ^.^

Okay while Two Steps From Hell is not metal, they still kick ass and Pandora is suggesting them to me in my Nightwish Playlist

Floor Jensen is here to stay!!!! Nightwish has another amazing singer in their line up. And this one can sing as well as Tarja and can deliver Annette's more mainstream sound.

Ah, the oldies of heavy metal

I had the pleasure of seeing Queensryche live a few years back, as well as Iron Maiden before they split.
