I've got a theme here. Three songs which all have an exclamation mark in it's name, all from Finnish bands.

Mokoma - Vade retro, Satana!

Children of Bodom - Hate me!

Turmion Kätilöt - U.S.C.H!

Seems no one has uploaded rest of the good exclamation marked songs I had in mind, or are of subpar sound quality. Have to do without then:

Diablo - Read my scars

Ajattara - Kunnes taivas meidät erottaa
Well that was awkward.

Folk metal time! Two more Finnish bands.

Ensiferum - Token of time

Korpiklaani - Rauta

And one Norwegian black:

The Kovenant - The last of the dragons
Well that was awkward.

Epic metal thread is epic! Based on the content (although perhaps because all the vids no longer work), there appear to be a few musical gaps.

Lovely cheerful local lads My Dying Bride.

Final Frontier is, to my mind, some of Maiden's best output of recent years and given the band's pedigree, that's saying a lot. Definitely one of the best videos as well.

Some might argue that the Coop is more of a rock act (as well as being a living goddam legend), but has has turned out some very heavy stuff over the years.

I don't know how much not understanding the lyrics decreases the feeling of epicness of this, but at least it's still epicly long. And starts slowly. And because the more you use word "epic" the less it means, everyone stop using it for anything else for now. Thanks.

Skipping to 2:50 gets you past most of the intro thingy, but I strongly recommend not to skip of course.
(also as an added bonus, at the time of posting this there seems to be some pwning of supernaturalists going on at the comments section)

Moonsorrow - Jotunheim
Well that was awkward.

Kamelot's new album came out in Germany in today, but I have to wait til the 30th til the North American release. C'est la vie. While I have been a Roy Khan fan for a good while, I am actually impressed by Tommy's voice (and he kicked ass live in concert) and think he is a fitting addition to Kamelot. So stoked for the new album ^.^

OK, I guess I'll post some of the metal I've been listening to lately. I listen to all kinds of music though, but as this is a metal thread...

Some Norwegian 'black metal'-influenced bands, then. The vocals are acquired taste for sure, but the music should stir something in most metalheads.

I've just recently discovered Metal Church. They've got some pretty awesome songs.

So I find Epica quite a conundrum to listen to. On one hand, I love their music. On the other hand, I feel kinda fidgety listening to all of their anti-organized religion songs, especially with my past. On the other hand, I love this album a lot. I guess I can look past awkward lyrics which bring up odd feelings for good music.

Its a complicated world. ya gotta pik & chuz wots rite for yooo. It also called not throwing the baby out with the bathwater. I was a front of house door chik for a metal band once. I couldnt stand their music but they liked my leathers as I arrived on my RD. It was a job tho not for long. I cant afford tinnitus.
