I've finally seen a real live mosh pit. And stayed the hell away from it. Self preservation instincts kicked in pretty hard.

Oh gosh these guys were positive and happy, smiling and clearly having FUN playing and entertaining the audience between songs.. Feel good gig!

First real mosh I was in was at a Amon Amarth concert. I got elbowed in the head.

Needless to say all the rest of my concert experiences has me standing at the front of the stage in front of the most or well in the back.

I don't know what I would do at a festival.

Some idiot slam danced into my knee during a Sabbath gig at Ozzfest. It still lets me know when the weather changes.

This album is taking its sweet time coming out this month. These single releases are teasing me. :sigh:

I really love this band. They are a Christian band i.e. their songs are about Christianity, but they are one talented band. That guitar work is phenomenal.

Many people are hit or miss when it comes to Amaranthe and this album further polarizes it. I for one happen to think this was one of those hidden albums of 2016 that I will greatly love.

Sabaton's new album is all about famous last stand battles. So of course Thermopylae would be mentioned.

The Agonist also slipped an album in kind of under the radar. Its okay, not as good as their previous one with Vicky, but still solid overall. Still she fucking rocks live.

Epica's new album is perhaps my favourite of 2016. I cannot wait to see both Epica and the Agonist the first week of December.

More interesting female vocals. Some parts clear, other parts growly. Beautiful, melancholic, atmospheric black.

Also, dammit, more metal! I want to find new bands...

So Megadeth win best metal album at the Grammies and the session band played Metallica (Master of Puppets) as they went up to get their reward.

I suppose so. It would be a special kind of oblivious to just play any well known metal for another metal band.

I think it's funny and I suspect there's footage of Dave walking up to the stage either grinning or cringing.
