Ancient, sapient, scintillating cephalopods, cephalopods
Transdifferentiating cephalopods, cephalopods

Like a tide they rise up, rise up
Like a tide they rise up high
On piles of bones they rise up, rise up
On piles of bones they rise up high

On primate fossils they rise up
On our remains they rise up high
With a vengeance they rise up
With a vengeance rise up high

Love the above song. It seems to be about cephalopods rising after a sixth extinction event, crawling on to land and filling evolutionary niches, climbing trees, taking to the skies, and finally becoming the dominant intelligence. Where they seem to reign until the planet's inevitable destruction where they are forced to take to space and spread across the galaxy.
Amazing stuff.

I almost posted The Wolf Totem from those guys. The throat singing is absolutely amazing.

There's few things so cringe inducing as when metal goes artsy-fartsy.

Nathanks. I'll stick to the stuff where these guys know what they're doing.

Well they are French.

Don't know if I'd call them "artsy". It's really just a combination of metal and Aphex Twin with some classical elements thrown in. Very European.

I think they're amazing anyway.

It's more impressive when you look at the making of that album and see it's mostly people playing instruments. No samples.

Oh geez my bad, I thought it was Igor Cavalera from Sepultura, I've seen him referenced as Igorr lately and thought this is what he was up to

It's a good song, but maybe they'd be ready to try making another some day, instead of rereleasing this one over and over again? We're ready for it :p
Well that was awkward.

Been listening a lot of The Gazette lately.

I have also been listening to a lot of Rammstein because my nightclub plays them all the time:

I can't seem to get by the first track of Rammstein's new album without repeating it. I even had a Deutschland only session in the gym a coupke of weeks ago. Was a great workout.
