Difficult to know whether anybody else has heard of my "best bands you've never heard of", but here's a start.

One of my faves, had a big following in France, but nowhere else, it seems.

I did know a band who weren't even to be found on youtube yet. Today I discovered this.

She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Great! They have a large discography to play with. Have fun, and let me know if you need advice of where to go first.

they do perform well live, too, as this one also shows. !

Dead Can Dance

Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, started off in the 80's, a 4AD band, fell out with each other, went their own way, recently reformed. this is a very early one.

Love Dead Can Dance, in fact I love most of the stuff that was on the 4AD label. My user name is a clue to one band in particular.

However, given that DCD could sell out an arena tour tomorrow I will take issue with your choice here, and suggest another 4AD band that I was fond of. One that still had plenty of room in the Leadmill when I went to see them in 1990.

Edit: Just realised that by happy coincidence I'm off to see an old 4AD band tonight. Belly ... 25 again :)
