For me it's one of his best guitar solos. Prince was an amazing improvisor this performance was probably completely off the cuff. Nothing flashy or terribly difficult, but it's spot on for the chord progression and the tune. He makes me wonder what Hendrix might have become in the 80s had he lived and stuck with getting theory lessons off Miles Davis, it's that kind of ability to just play exactly what you want without thinking about it is not easy.
