Haha! It's funny, because I was almost going to post this song too! I saw him live once, and the bass was overwhelming. I could feel it coming out of my chest and in my throat!

Here's another by him:

I saw these guys on Halloween. Imagine about 200-300 people all dressed in costume dancing around crazily. This song is not as driving as their others, but it's good.... kind of haunted house-like.

^ Amon Tobin is a favorite.
I would love to see Amon Tobin live, and I love when you can feel the bass move your innards. :)

Had the pleasure of experiencing a Carl Cox gig at Roskilde, it was fantastic! Danced my shirt off.

Got a tip on Pantha du Prince from the what's playing thread, very nice.

Just noticed this thread.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to was to see Faithless!

One of my all time Favs: God is a DJ live at Alexandra Palace.

This is relaxing.

Witti, I agree. That's a pretty sweet drum solo. I wish I could play it louder right now, but I'm in an apartment and have people sleeping amongst me. Though, the best way to listen to this stuff - is blasting.

Woo! Glad to see this thread's come to life since the last time I looked at it. Good to see Deadmau5--I LOVE his darker stuff, Random Album Title is INCREDIBLE from start to finish (where's my thrash emoticon?)

808 State--I like their first couple albums, but they seem to get pretty cheesy after that...am I crazy?! Also: anyone else love early Autechre? :D

Paul_G: Thanks for straightening me out on gabba, I'm not so good at differentiating between hardcore/gabber/gabba

Been listening to a lot of Basic Channel lately: Minimalist lovers gather 'round!

^ Second time you've posted that song in this forum, and second time I've checked to see if it was a Norwegian band.
Nice tune.

I doubt he will ever see it though, I'm guessing this thread isn't his genre.

I like most of 808 State that I heard, but the first two albums were their best.

I love Autechre, pretty much all their albums. The last two were pretty heavily abstract and not as exciting, but I gave them a thorough listen. I liked them best at TriRepatae and Chiastic Slide.

Anyone heard of Capital K? He signed on µ-ziq's (another great artist!) planet µ label, but he never seemed to get very successful. But his music was gorgeous, kind of a electronic, psychedelic, happy Radiohead riff.

Speaking of µ-ziq, I got turned onto him with his fantastic Auteurs remix EP. Oh, this is still gorgeous. He was hit and miss overall, but he was my favorite artist for a while.

I won't link it, but µ--ziq and Aphex Twin's Expert Knob Twiddlers album was pretty wonderful too. Is there new electronica that colorful and original coming out today?

I think I may be rather conservative and old skool for such a hip thread :)

However, here are some of my favourites from the (broadly) electronic genres:
