Greetings From New York City

#1  Postby Nietzschean » Aug 28, 2015 10:07 pm

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for having this forum. I love engaging in discussions with intelligent people where we can politely agree/disagree. As my handle suggests, I am into history and philosophy.

I will be around. Good to be here.

Welcome Nietz!

It isn't always polite or intelligent but certainly it can be engaging. Enjoy the lifeboat.

Welcome aboard.
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

Ah, Nietzsche is my favourite foreign-language author. I really wish I could speak German to enjoy him in his original tongue - but I can't be bothered.

Welcome

Thank you Animavore. I have been trying that myself for many years and still have not been successful.

Who could forget Hamlet in the original German when Hamlet was overheard speaking to Ophelia about her delicate condition and her secret affair with Laërtes, "Sein, oder night sein? Das ist die Frage"
