Howdy, I used to be fairly active on the InfidelGuy.com forums in the mid-aughtties and later on atheistforums.com (even using this same avatar for a while--I dug it up for fun). Since then I went to grad school, and I drifted away from most online forums and toward the various social media juggernauts. Well, now I'm getting a little creeped out by that oligopolistic landscape and got a wild hair up my ass today to hunt down forums with a skeptical bent, so here I am.

I feel it's only fair to warn you that there's little skepticism to be had here these days. It's mostly regulars revisiting their already acknowledged differences in thread after thread.

It seems inevitable to me. Humans have a limited amount of patience. Debunking over and over strongly held beliefs (religious or otherwise) gets tiresome in the long term.
On the other hand, bullshit and self-deception are neverending.

We live in a post-chew-toy era. The occasional troll or sock puppet passes by, eventually evaporating as radiation into the vast sea of photons cooling towards absolute zero.
