The RCC lies about miracles so that they can call people saints for political reasons.

That maybe true.

It's been busy :)

Can I just say 'thank you' for all the welcomes. Were there any themes we wanted to pick up in a dedicated thread or two?

that is a strange question, good or bad in medicine is dependent on evaluation of the symptoms.

Where did 'good or bad' suddenly appear from? I asked if you had evidence of a nocebo causing 'damage' as you claimed. Do you?

Welcome to the forum, Monas. You should view (if you haven't already) the posts of a user named Michael66 who, like you, was a lay monastic and liberal Catholic. He also began many of his posts, as you do occasionally, by greeting his adversary with a "hi." You know: "hi Trubble," "hi Fallible," "hi Cito," &c. Perhaps, however, this is merely a quirk obediently practiced by all lay Carthusians upon the taking of their vows; I don't know. In any case, there are many intriguing similarities between you and he. I would almost be inclined to wonder whether there is some sock-puppetry afoot here, but I'm sure a good Catholic would be above such duplicity. Then again, "clever as serpents, gentle as doves."

The thought had crossed my mind.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

You [and probably everyone else on here] might find this interesting.

Parts 2-4 at a youtube near you...

All the best, hope you have fun here.
