a Leo??! If I do continue posting it will probably be from my perspective of a how the spiritual idea being discussed is empowering or disempowering to individuals. That's the crunch for me.

Well, that's because you've misunderstood what happened there. Scot Dutchy was making a less than charitable remark about you only having posted once; you see we quite often have 'drive by' posters - these are usually theists or people with odd beliefs who make a single post to the forum usually with some whacky claims which they never come back to defend. Scot was insinuating that you were one of those. Unfortunately and most uncharacteristically he got hold of the wrong end of the stick, because you had in fact posted twice by the time he referred to your 'single post'. Scarlett and I were actually defending you. Perhaps you were expecting people to just rag on your or something, or perhaps there is a problem with misunderstanding in general which might explain why you managed to get yourself hoodwinked by bloody astrology, ffs!
