Hello

Hello all. I live in Scotland, am a pro-European Union man, have a modest scientific/mathematical background and am an atheist.
For me, being a 'non-believer' makes the universe all the more interesting.

I like haggis and whisky but neither to excess. I abhor nationalism and religious fundamentalism and am allergic to shellfish.

Life is good.

I'm not allergic to them, but I much prefer haggis.

Welcome! Interesting choice of facts about yourself to present, I guess that means you'll have something to say about the EU referendum. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

and hangs out with a bunch of misfit Canadians in a teeny tiny Canadian forum for reasons known only to him.
Glad you made it. You might want to put up the issues you had trying to register here

( I had to register for him ). ..let's see a Canadian currently living in Australia registers a Scot who was hanging out in a Canadian discussion board....ah the connectedness of the world :what:

Glad to see you here.

Welcome aboard
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Macdoc - you're living in Australia now? Didn't you live in Mississauga? I once asked a friend to drive over there from Cambridge to buy some stuff from a shop that sold British foodstuffs and other sundries. It's a long story.

I'll leave feedback about my registration difficulties btw.

I'm feeling my way around here, reading up on threads to get my bearings. I recognised one member by his/her username from the Folding@Home support forum. Small world.
