Hey folks

I've been looking for somewhere like this for months, but have never had the sense until now to type "skepticism forum" into google...

Anyway, I'm Sophie. I'm an atheist. I'm really into psychology & all things brain related. Politically I'm liberal & I'm pretty sure also progressive, although I'm still trying to figure out all the ins and outs of what that actually means.

I'm here because I love discussion and need a place to let off some steam. Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Welcome! Sometimes we don't seem very nice. That's accidental and if you give us a chance you'll see that we just really enjoy disagreeing with each other.

I look forward to disagreeing with you, too! Though, if you're a liberal progressive I might have to manufacture a difference of opinion to manage it.

Welcome to the forum.

We're as nice as a bunch of people arguing the toss on the internet can be. Despite the similarities some of us have in terms of political or social ideologies, we're pretty much always able to find somewhere we disagree and in those spaces, some quality learning happens.

You're wrong. I'm deeply unpleasant, and deliberately so, nothing accidental about it.

I agree, then. Just to be contrary. 8-)

And welcome!
So you want to let off steam, eh?

Well, off you go then...
