Hello. I am a schizophrenic from Florida USA and I experience auditory hallucinations on a daily basis. I like to be objective about my experiences since I think that subjectivity leads to mysticism and other insane notions - I call the hallucinations inhibited speech reflexes. By reflex I mean a reaction to something you cannot control. And there is evidence that this verbal thinking or speech reflex has to do with the auditory cortex: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1853248/

She revelled in adventure and imagination.

Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Welcome!

I have to admit a particular interest in schizophrenia, though I'm sure it's an awful experience for people who have it.

Hi Jonathan. I'm diagnosed schizophrenic too although am medicated effectively in that I no longer have any positive symptoms (eg. paranoia/hallucinations/psychosis). I do suffer negative symptoms however such as anhedonia which may well be the result of taking dopamine inhibiting antipsychotics (depixol). I presume you have not found any medication which alleviates your hallucinations?
You're only conscious when you're thinking about consciousness.

Welcome aboard.
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.
