Hey everyone,

I just wanted to quick introduce myself and say hi and that I'm glad I found this site, it looks like a great place to talk about some cool stuff.

A quick about me:
Right now I'm a student at a university in the United States. Over the past few years I've started to become particularly interested in philosophy, atheism, space, and zoology (I'm definitely not an expert in any of these fields, but I love learning about and discussing them). I love me some readin' and recently I finished "Think","The Salmon of Doubt", and "God Is Not Great". I would really appreciate any book or documentary/tv show tips you guys might have. Right now I'm about to move into the works of Richard Dawkins. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I haven't read any of his books, even though I love his television programs.

Well I think that about covers it. Now I'm going to poke around the site a bit more...

Hi Icarus II Welcome.

Not a fan of Dawkins myself, though he can make poignant statements. Try Charles Southwell "An Apology for Atheism".

... a Revelation from God, at least so thinks the Author of this Apology, might reasonably be expected to make the mode and nature of His existence manifest.
