That sounds like you mean to cause trouble.

You said you were doing political research. For whom?

What causes you to think that?
What kind of "trouble"?
How do you know?
Is causing "trouble" bad?
"Trouble" for whom?
So what?

This is a welcome thread and making accusations based on speculations of a new member's possible participation is rude and should be considered inflammatory.

If you don't like "inflammatory" stop trying to stir up trouble. It' s fair to ask for whom he is doing research and for what purpose, and it's reasonable to be concerned about a libertarian christian who turns up out of the blue on a rational atheist forum promising to join a fight against our "uneducated and misinformed" members.

We've also had time to observe the quality of his contributions in the gun topic.

You make it sound like I'm here to convert your religious beliefs.

Steady on guys, this is a welcome thread. They'll be plenty of time for a frank exchange of views in the service of robust discourese later. OK?

Single-issue guys who appear out of the blue like that are extremely suspect. We shouldn't even allow them to be members IMO.

"Single-issue?"

When did I ever say I didn't care about anything else?

You haven't yet defined what you mean by trouble.
I consider unfounded, unsupported, undefined accusations of nefarious intent to be unjustifiably inflammatory. Such comments in a discussion cause a kind of trouble themselves.

My opinion with regard to Collector1337's input in the now locked NRA thread is that it is informed, knowledgable, to the point and of high quality.

People researching information and using the internet will often get links to discussion forums. It is reasonable to open some of those links and read them. It is also completely usual to be intrigued with what one reads and to consider participating in the discussions. Everything here that is open for the public to read is open for the public to research as well. It is not reasonable to interrogate a new member and expect them to justify how they arrived on the site and why they joined. That is hostile and this site should not associate itself with that kind of Atheism + type behavior.

Thanks I appreciate that.

Read the other gun thread in the conspiracy section. It got a little harry.

Pretty much I'm labeled as "paranoid" because I'm against registration.

I must say, that in only a short time on this forum, because of many of the people here, I have never been more proud to be an American.

So, I thank you for that.

It's a shame more people around the world, particularly in the UK and Australia for some reason, don't value Liberty. The US really is the greatest country on Earth. This forum has proved that. I love that so many people in America value their freedom. No wonder why so many people want to come here.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Give me Liberty or give me death.

As I read your words, my heart is welling up and my eyes slowly flooding with tears of joy and pride, with the realization that the US is indeed the greatest country on Earth, based on your personal unspecified definition of greatness.

I love that so many people in America value their freedom.

They do? Freedom from whom? Freedom to do what? How can I know that a given person values their freedom from errr... something?

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

 Whom are you asking? Hope that's not addressed to me? If you've lost your liberty (sorry I mean Liberty), might I suggest that you first contact the local police authorities before asking to be killed?
