Hardly. I think enough Democrats could lose their elections over this to change the trajectory, maybe even overcompensate.
Check out the new gun Bills being voted on in Montana. They wouldn't even have been put up if it wasn't for the knee jerk extremism of the left. The no permit needed concealed carry didn't pass last time it was put up. It's progressing through the process now by a wide margin. Montana walks the line and will go conservative if this nonsense continues. Tester barely got re-elected and even Baucus could be out if he gets soft. You can't be gun restriction and be elected in Montana.
