Letting people know where to find us

#1  Postby HughMcB » Feb 25, 2010 6:11 pm

Can people try their best to get the word out about this place?

I'm at work and can't access some sites so can people post on facebook (especially RDF's group), twitter etc. for a start.

Then can people try to leave any comments on blogs, youtube, even other forums (if they'll let you first!) so we can try reach as many people as we can.

Spread the word:

RDF asylum seekers have found a new home!

Here's some code (for the banner and link to here) for posting on any forum that may let you (I advise to ask permission first or you more than likely will be considered trolling);

Code: Select all

Yip I've been posting around on facebook as well.

Perhaps one avenue yet to explore is Youtube? :scratch:

I know Hack has a channel there.

Hmmm, the "Betrayal" thread on the RD FB group is having technical difficulties. If you try to read pages 2 & 3 you get the "Oops! Something went wrong..." error message.

Strange, eh?

Hang on, it's on all the threads. Guess it's a ral error. For a minute I thought the Sith had attacked FB.

I'm gonna do some (paid) advertising as well, this place should get more crowded soon.

Can we somehow contribute to the paid advertising?

I think paid advertising is s great idea, but do not go spending your dosh without letting us contribute, life.

Maybe RDF will accept some paid advertising, they're minus about 85,000 potential contributors, after all.

Sorry to overstate a point that I've made elsewhere but I think that instead of posting rebuttals to the various Times, Guardian, Telegraph etc. blogs in their comments section, as many members have been doing (generally excellently, I hasten to add), we should be hosting the rebuttals here and directing traffic to them. Perhaps even create one universal statement as a sticky.

It's worked for Peter Harrison's blog and, unless he objects to sharing some of that traffic, which I don't think he would, I don't see why it wouldn't work here.

I agree to this 100%, make sure to converse with the community first.

I know everyone gives you their full support and will be more than happy to contribute, don't take too much on by yourself.

Keep up the excellent work!

That's a fucking awesome idea.

Bring thee punters in here to read all about it (and then they just might stay!)

Someone needs to take the bull by the horns on creating the sticky with the relevant information, then we need a team of covert, crack commandos to go spread the word on teh interwebz!

We need a blogger who knows how to present some facts.

Can anyone write some words and accumilate our best posts/blogs on the matter.

We can include LIFE's "open letter letter to Richard Dawkins" thread also, or perhaps that might encourage fucktards to write on it?! Do you have to be a member here to write on that?

Here's a couple of links;

"And sometimes he's so nameless" - Jerome Wordpress

Death of the Dawkins forum – The world’s busiest atheist forum closes - Peter Harrison

Open letter - Re: Richard Dawkins Forum

Can people submit the best posts that have been on blogs and news articles thus far? (come on don't be shy!)

We need to get some free PR while people are still actually reading about the story, the windows closing fast!
