Must. Say. Hello.

#1  Postby catbasket » Jan 09, 2014 1:44 pm

Hello!

I signed up way back in May 2010 to find more info on the RDF meltdown, lurked for a short while then didn't visit again until April 2013. I've been mostly-lurking here ever since.

I'm a married, mid-fifties atheist with no kids but many cats. I believed in some utter garbage when younger but my teenage love of Science Fiction lead me to Isaac Asimov's non-fiction, then the anti-woo books of James Randi and the works of Martin Gardner. The local lending library was a big factor in my becoming more rational and skeptical

Now I've said hello I hope to post a bit more often, but I usually find that someone else has already said what I'd like to say and in a much clearer, concise and knowledgeable way.

Plus I do love a good lurk ...

We all like a good lurk. Sometimes I lurk for months just for the fun of it.:D

Welcome back.
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.

I've noticed you lurking, catbasket, wondered who that was and had a look at your posts to realise that you have posted in a couple of threads that I have posted in too.

Glad you're now out of the basket.
