New here.

#1  Postby Jimrea » Jan 19, 2012 9:18 am

Hello everybody,

After my posting 'Questions for the Christian believer' someone asked me to introduce myself.
Here I am.

I'm a member of a Dutch FreeThinker forum (look for Jim) and at the moment I'm rolling round the world to look for fora and blogs to spread our questions.
We are translating those questions into a lot of languages, from English to Chinese and a lot of languages between.

I'm a born atheïst (like everybody is  ) and have never chanced that.
My parents were also atheïst too.
Living in the Netherlands in a small Catholic village with wife and children.
But the religion here is only with Christmas and Easter, so I do not have fear to be hung.

My English is not that good, I'm a technician.
The spellchecker and some google translate does the trick by difficult talk.

I shall not make a lot of postings, reason, see above.

Jim.

Welcome to ratskep and don't worry too much about your English. It's fine and the crowd here is quite forgiving, as long as it's clear you're making an effort.

Well, thanks for the warm welcome.
Sometimes you will find some Dutch in my writing, because the Dutch word is than almost the same as the English.
I'm looking a lot of Sky Discovery Channels by satellite.
And sometimes I look for the meaning of a word I do not understand.
Actually, I'm looking at Discovery Shed at the moment.

@ LucidFlight, Paling is lekker, maar dan wel gerookt.
Vroeger ving ik ze zelf in de sloot voor onze woning.
Maar de echte lekkere zijn zo een 25 a 30 jaar terug opgegeten en nooit meer terug gekomen.
Wat je met paling in een hoovercraft moet is mij een raadsel overigens, maar dat ga jij me vanzelf uitleggen.
Have a lot of fun with the translate.
And if it is a problem I translate is by myself for you.

@Everybody, It cost me a lot of energy to write correct.
So I will make it a sometimes event.
I look the next weeks time by time on daily basis at the forum.

Again thanks for the warm welkom.

I understand now.
It was a typically missunderstanding. :)
I didn't see that show.

On my work there are a lot of Hungarians, and their English or German......
Sometimes I think that my Hungarian is better than their English.

My spellchecker found no fault in significantly?
Or do I miss something?
