Is there some kind of law somewhere that runs along the lines of:

"Whenever someone attempts a "Churchillian Speech", they will end up sounding like Colonel Blimp rather than Winston Churchill"

(If there isn't there ought to be).

I'm pretty sure Churchill tried to stop the production of The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. He probably found it got a little too close to the bone at times.
