Ouch! But we don't know how badly we will be hit because this is ongoing, month by month reduction in income. Could be forever.

It's the worst of both worlds for me. I don't live in the UK any more, but I still work for a UK company that pays me in pounds and I'm currently back over here to see my terminally ill mother through her last days while the Tories piss her life savings down the drain.

However, I still consider myself to be amongst those getting off lightly with Brexit, as at least I got to shuffle most of my assets overseas prior to the referendum. If Davis proceeds with his lunatic plan, about the only people with much of a future in the UK would seem to be currency speculators and asset strippers.

Titter.

Uh oh. No 10 confirm parts of the Brexit legislation may need the consent of the Scottish Parliament

https://twitter.com/JasonGroves1/status ... 4782075906

Huge concession by PM: Scottish Parliament could well have to vote to authorise Great Repeal Bill. So, Scots have power to block Brexit.

https://twitter.com/tnewtondunn/status/ ... 0908449793

as i understand it - Holyrood has power to block repeal of EU legislation for Scotland only, which would create chaos.

This means: Holyrood could vote down GRB for Scotland only, which UK Govt respects by convention but can override. So constitutional havoc.

If Scotland tries to block Brexit Westminster will throw Scotland out of the UK which is what Scotland wants and I can then emigrate

Westminster being determined to keep hold of Scotland's oil, deep ports, renewables, and other resources, we can be sure they'll do no such thing; especially when the majority of MPs don't want to leave anyway.
I don't believe in the no-win scenario.

Can you seriously imagine the UK continuing to function as single country if they officially blocked Brexit. Now of course if Westminster was to roll back to avoid a fight with Scotland (and not say that is what they are doing) then it would be different.

Tories must be close to echoing Trump on healthcare...

"We have come up with a solution that's really, really I think very good. Now, I have to tell you, it's an unbelievably complex subject. Nobody knew Brexit could be so complicated."

Give 'em time, and we'll hear this, or something like it.

I suspect that's why nobody as of yet seems to have a plan for Brexit. It's just such an awful prospect that anyone tasked with the job would throw up their hands in horror and quit within a few days.
