Activist group GetUp! released a video on Friday of Monckton addressing a group in Perth last July. He quite openly lays out a plan for the super-rich to buy up the key media companies and impose a Fox News-style libertarian perspective on Australia where voices like Bolt can be promoted to influence policy.

He's renowned for talking utter crap roughly 100% of the time, and suggesting that Glenn Beck is good at explaining the US Constitution? Come on, even he doesn't believe that. He's so silly I can't get angry about him.

Beck's a hero to many very stupid Americans and a hero to more intelligent ones as it allows them to manipulate the stupid ones.
Soemone like Beck probably minus the religion would do very well in the UK if something like Fox was allowed. The only defence against wackjobs like him is balanced news especially the BBC

There are other good points about the UK but none are specific to us. I don't think any other nation has public broadcasting that is respected interationally as the BBC.
