I'll certainly never be able to listen to "Two Little Boys" the same way again.

Most people haven't been able to since Thatcher revealed it to be one of her favourite songs.

If a liberal party does something, then that act, by definition, is a liberal one. The only alternative is that they are not a liberal party.

Haha, classic.

Reminds me of the one about a cockatoo on Hampstead Heath.

If Saville confessed properly on his death bed and received whatever catholic priests give, is he not in heaven?

And I wonder if there are any connections with what Catholic priests have been up to....

I dont know but one thing it was his catholism that allowed him to carry on as he confessed regulary.

I confess to not quite getting the joke. Milk a cow blindfolded? Are we talking about a handjob?

If that is correct, there will be some fascinating legal cases involving priests who took those confessions and whether they were aiding and abetting child abuse and perverting the course of justice by not reporting it.

I wonder if anyone is formally connecting what is going on in the catholic church and this particular member - who was honoured by the Pope.

Big institutions - BBC, Health, are involved. Maybe the role of a huge multi - national institution also needs looking at.

How precisely does a Catholic Priest fulfil the very clear child protection rules of the NSPCC and their role as confessor?

The Irish government is going to make it a criminal offence for a priest not to tell the gardai when a sex offender confesses his crime: I say, bring it on

No, according to Catholic doctrine no one is in heaven and no one is in hell...yet.
The Creed says "He [Christ] will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead."

Since Christ has yet to return, no one has yet been judged and all the dead are still resting and waiting.

Except for the Saints who are guaranteed Heaven and can talk to GodJesusHolySpiritMary even if they are not in Heaven yet?

Been released on bail now, I think.
Triangles are my favourite shape. ∆

No motion has she now, no force,
She neither hears nor sees,
Roll'd round in Earth's diurnal course
With rocks, and stones, and trees.

Fucking hell, if Cliff Richard turns out to have this class of skeleton in his closet, this'll be the tabloid feeding frenzy equivalent of Hurricane Sandy.

Well he has always been very secretive about his love life. ;)

.. heaven?.. hell?.. no such thing.. just a disciplinary concept, dreamt up by a fundamentalist, death cult hierarchy to keep the plebs in order.

Savile got away with it because no-one in a position of authority, had the cojones to properly challenge a man who was raising tens of millions for charity and drag him into court.. including the CPS.
