Komen is still a rightwing front group. We were allowed a glimpse through the fog screen. Playing politics with cancer is the most disgusting tactic religious whackjobs have come up with yet.

For $429.99 you can buy this pink handgun with "part" of the proceeds going to cancer research.

Someone mentioned a 70% administrative cost to Komen donations, but I don't have a source. Don't suppose anyone here does?

That figure won't be available until the dust settles. If they stay the hell away from politics, they should be able to recoup. Their problem is the right wing woo woos and republicans.

PZ Myers says that's not the case, but he doesn't cite the source.

You can check Komen's admin-to-mission funding ratio on Guidestar.org. It's behind a paywall, but it's like $7 IIRC.

You getting one, Brandy? If you are I could make a matching pink holster and mag holder for you. :naughty2:

More good news, if not at all surprising: Karen Handel, the anti-abortion zeolot who was behind the Planned Parenthood decision, has been forced to resign from Komen.
