Yep, that’s how it looks. Very interested to see how that withstands scrutiny.

It appears the guy with rifle chased the shooter and not certain whether he killed the shooter or the shooter self imolated.
Either way the NRA are going to be crowing :(

Will Trump be calling this guy an "animal" and suggesting he be sent to Guantanamo? Hmm, looks too white for that ...

So, it seems that it might indeed be the case that only a good guy with a gun can stop* a bad guy with a gun.

* 'stop' in this case meaning shoot him dead before he gets too far into the third dozen of his fatality count, rather than 'stop' meaning prevent him from killing anyone at all, or deter him from getting all shooty in the first place.

Good old Trump at the forefront of the "guns aren't to blame" shit. "This was a mental health thing not agun thing. Remember, if there wasn't someone shooting in the other direction......". Yes you dumb fuck. And if the guy didn't have a fucking gun to start with, it would be just a mental health thing. How fucking stubbornly blinkered do some people have to be?
The Bible is full of interest. It has noble poetry in it; and some clever fables; and some blood-drenched history; and some good morals; and a wealth of obscenity; and upwards of a thousand lies.

As stubbornly blinkered as the NRA's political funding requires you to be?

If more guns are the answer, then the US government should subsidise them, or even give them out free to the poor. Hand them out with a bible when you enter a church. Put a gun in the hands of every adult in the US. Then it will be a very safe country. Right?

To paraphrase a well known saying, it won't determine who is right, but it will determine who is left.

Trump blames it as a mental health thing, but signed a bill repealing a rule that disqualified people with certain mental health problems from obtaining a gun earlier in the year.

Oh yes freedoms...

Get it right. EVERY day there is a mass shooting, quit literally. Terrorism doesn't even register against this it happens so often.

It's a joke, watch how this will be used by the right. It'll be shown as proof of the war against Christians.

Sorry, got it wrong.

No worries. I'm only here often enough to be comfortable, not familiar.

Already seen this tied to the ANTIFA revolution that was supposed to have happened on Saturday.

The targets of these sorts of things always seem to be the softest targets: concert goers, holiday crowds, school children, etc.

It goes to the basic cowardice of some of these gun nuts that they never go against anyone who has any power.

You can do more damage to a soft target, why assume it means more than that?

And is doing his best to make mental health care inaccessible to as many people as possible.

Not that I buy that this is a "mental health" issue.

Well good luck in curing mental health, bit like saying we should all smoke 40 fags (cigarettes) a day as its our god damn right and concentrate on curing cancer instead of restricting cigarettes

That's a good analogy, because it remains our goddamn right to smoke cigarettes, and cigarettes remain legal. Nonetheless, the government has accepted reducing smoking as a public health priority and taken measures to reduce it. The results:

OK, we can stop speculating. A woman calling herself "The Activist Mommy" has figured out who's to blame for this shooting: Hemant Mehta AKA "The Friendly Atheist":
