More high-jinks from the DeSantis Oceania establishment society: Florida teacher Jenna Barbee says she faces investigation for playing Disney movie (BBC)

A Florida teacher says she is facing a state investigation after she played students a Disney film featuring a gay character.

Jenna Barbee said she was accused of "indoctrination" after showing the movie Strange World.

Hernando County School District confirmed to US media that a teacher is being investigated after a parent complained.

Ms Barbee claimed an investigator with the department of education was pulling students out of class to ask them about it.

"Do you know the trauma that that is going to cause to some of my students?" Ms Barbee said in her TikTok video.

During a school board meeting on 9 May, school board member Shannon Rodriguez said she was the parent who complained to the department of education, according to US media outlets.

"It is not a teacher's job to impose their beliefs upon a child," Ms Rodriguez said during the meeting.

Ms Barbee, meanwhile, claimed people were accusing her of indoctrination as a "defence tactic for their own fear-based beliefs".

"A school board member, an elected official of power, who was supposed to be nonpartisan, is allowed to present to the public that she is Christian and that God appointed her to the board," Ms Barbee said, according to CNN. "And yet it is indoctrinated that I showed a Disney movie. I'm a first-year teacher."

Edit: It's worth mentioning that the new campus was due to open today (Thursday) with people already having relocated, so this wasn't the cancelation of some vapourware might-happen plan but a very real closure of something already built and about to open.

While I understand that the Rethuglicons are butthurt that the FBI have uncovered what sort of slime lies under several right wing rocks, they obviusly haven't thought this through.

A fair number of missing person investigations, including those of various children thought to have been kidnapped and murdered, are handed over to the FBI. Bringing those investigations crashing to a halt is going to expose the "protecting the children" Rethuglicon lie on a grand scale. As if several other actions of theirs haven't already, but of course the bootlickers will swallow any shit they're fed, if it means MOAR GUNZ AND JEEBUS. Oh, and being able to set fire to black people hanging from trees as well, which is what a lot of them really want, along with being able to propel women back to Stepford Wife status.

Indeed, the DNA of some of thse people is shaped like a pointy hood with eye holes.

By a peculiar co-incidence, Ms. Loomer turned 30 years old just a few weeks ago.

Oh, and a quick check on Wikipedia reveals:

Loomer downplayed the severity of COVID-19, writing in December 2020, "I hope I get COVID just so I can prove to people I've had bouts of food poisoning that are more serious and life-threatening than a hyped-up virus". In September 2021, she said she had become ill with the disease and was battling it with a variety of preparations, including some shown to be ineffective. She announced via Telegram that she was in great pain and requested that people pray for her.

Even after contracting the disease, Loomer continued to maintain that COVID-19 vaccines are "unsafe and ineffective" and said she would refuse to get one in the future.

Not in any way connected.

Nor that she's a keen candidate for the Screaming Jesus Clown Car Posse, but has so far lost.

Her wikipedia entry reads like a Neo-nazi's rap sheet.

Great patriots they are! And constitutionalists. The constitution, you see, consists of two amendments: the freedom of speech, which guarantees the right to make abhorrent posts on social media without any criticism, and the right to bear arms, which guarantees the right to walk around with ar-15's in so-called polite society.
